        Verdict

        A race for moderate handicappers ridden by novice amateurs doesn't look the best of getting out stakes for punters. EUSTON SQUARE hasn't won for a very long time but has dropped accordingly in the weights and though back up again after three recent placed efforts his rider has had three rides on the Flat and won two of them. Alistair Whillans' charge gets the vote ahead of Cabal, who ran her best race on Turf for some time at Doncaster last time and won't mind the conditions. Frosty Berry is still a maiden on Turf and her recent second place at Thirsk came over 2m so this looks on the short side. Rockweiller could prove a threat as he's been going well on ground faster than he likes and goes well for an amateur. Outlaw Torn is only 3lb higher than when scoring easily at Newcastle last month so is no forlorn hope despite his big weight.
