In depth

Verdict

MALLOWNEY's opening two runs over hurdles produced form in a different league to anything these rivals have shown over timber and though disappointing subsequently he's difficult to oppose. Royal Sam has shown promise in bumpers and should make a hurdler but most of the remainder have come via the point-to-point fields including Norwich Flyer, a winner at Necarne in May but well beaten when tackling regulation fences at Clonmel last month. Moscow Storm has several good efforts to his credit but his last two runs have been poor while it's a bit late for Mr Million to be making his debut over hurdles though he's been in fine form between the flags winning at Stradbally in May.
