Verdict

The Madden team have a fine chance here with Par Five, who was staying on over 2m2f at Sligo before unshipping his amateur partner when fancied at Galway. He should go well while Dowd's Angle produced a surprise performance for a 50/1 chance behind Natural High at Galway and further progress would see him a real threat. FORMAL BID has been in fine form this summer on the Flat and over timber. He completed a double over 1m4f at Leopardstown and Dundalk before staying on at Galway behind Pozyc. This longer trip looks certain to suit and he gets the vote. Minella Humour landed a 2m2f Gowran bumper in June and should make a staying hurdler while Moiqen, a Grade 3 winner on the Flat, is a very interesting recruit to hurdling and is definitely one to keep on the right side.
