Verdict

Aranhill Chief completed his hat-trick with two victories at the Galway Festival. Not surprisingly he shot up the weights and ran poorly at Killarney but that wasn't his true form and it would be no surprise to see him bounce back. Cross Appeal was a long way behind at Galway but did much better there earlier this month and with Ger Fox using his claim he should get much closer. Fever Pitch won nicely at Kilbeggan in June and has run two decent races there subsequently so he's on the shortlist though a chance is taken with DUSHREMBRANDT in an open contest. Robert Tyner's charge, a winning point-to-pointer and hurdler, was having his first start for five months when a close fourth behind Baby Whizz at Galway three weeks ago and with that under his belt can gain his first victory over regulation fences. Baily Dusk is inconsistent but well enough handicapped to make his presence felt if in the mood.
