    Verdict

Any one of the newcomers, particularly Speed Of Sound, Azuree and Feminist, could be good enough to win this first time out but they will have to be above average to beat Bill Turner's Lady Filly, who has done little wrong in winning races at Kempton and Thirsk so far and is taken to complete the hat trick. Andrew Balding's Speed Of Sound is a Zafonic half-brother to Speed Cop and is worth watching with an eye to the future but a bigger threat to the selection may come from Richard Hannon's Azuree, who has plenty of speed on the dam's side of her pedigree. Stablemate Spree is more stoutly bred and may do better over further, while Mick Channon's juveniles have been slow to come to hand this term so Feminist may need more time. A similar comment applies to Roger Charlton's horses so Heidi's Dash may need this in a race where the vote goes to the speedy Lady Filly, who may be capable of making all.
