In a race full of 'ifs & buts', a chance can be taken that WITH HINDSIGHT will build on his promising debut effort at Bath last month; Honourable Knight and Titus Two are others with the benefit of a run behind them and both are respected, while the market will be the best gauge regarding which of Richard Hannon's trio is the best fancied on the day. With Ryan Moore booked for the ride, Standout would appear to be Hannon's main contender on jockey bookings. But the Oratorio colt was very green on debut at Goodwood and will need to have come on in leaps and bounds in the intervening eight days since then. It would be dangerous to judge Titus Two harshly on the evidence of his debut run at Leicester, as Jimmy Fortune lost his whip two furlongs out and had to revert to hands and heels riding near the finish. The experience will have done the colt no harm, though. And he could be a different proposition today. Honourable Knight was never a factor when introduced at Newbury in April but was more like the finished article when he made the frame at Bath last month. This is a similar grade of contest and the Mark Usher-trained colt could be good value to make the frame. However, With Hindsight really caught the eye as one to follow when he was just denied on debut and, as Phillip Robinson is the ideal partner to get the best out of him, the case for Clive Cox's charge is by far the strongest piece of evidence available at this stage.
