In depth

Verdict

Holiday Camp is progressing nicely and can prove up to the task, with Percy's Pearl, El Rey Del Mambo and Eqdaam making for a close-knit contest. Holiday Camp seemed to appreciate the faster ground when opening his account in what was a moderate maiden at Pontefract a fortnight ago, and with conditions again in his favour, the Barry Hills inmate may not be harshly treated on a mark of 82 for his handicap bow. Percy's Pearl has bags of scope, having taken a while to make it to the track, and judging by the way that he scored on his Windsor debut, he will be one to follow over middle distances in time. On this occasion he might just find one or two a bit speedy though. El Rey Del Mambo will appreciate a mile at least on breeding as well, and he has form on this course so should not be ruled out either. There was good support for Eqdaam at Leicester last time but he was found wanting in the closing stages. This track may suit him better and he is another for the short-list, along with The Coires who drops back in trip. Holiday Camp is going the right way though and is the suggestion.
