Verdict

This could hardly be tougher and Ballinskelligs Boy is a very tentative choice, while Distant Charm and Morforwyn are others that head the shortlist of those to be respected. It would also come as no surprise to see Goldhill Fair post a better performance now that he has been given a little time. The last named was well touted before he debuted in the Brocklesby at Newcastle but failed to sparkle of on the rain-soaked ground. Today's conditions can help and Bill Turner's charge is one to monitor for each-way support. Morforwyn has winners in her pedigree and can be expected to get better with experience. Jamie Osborne has been in good form with his youngster and it is safe to assume this daughter of Averti will not be lacking for fitness on her debut. the same has to be said of Distant Charm - a stablemate of the selection whose yard again has a plethora of two-year-olds this term. Richard Hannon has a good strike-rate with juveniles at Salisbury and should not be dismissed lightly. However, experience is the key to races of this nature and, as Ballinskelligs Boy shaped as if the penny has dropped with a solid run at Lingfield last month; he looks the better option on this occasion.
