In depth

Verdict

Kawasir has yet to finish out of the frame and was only beaten a neck in a handicap at Chelmsford on his latest start. But it must be significant that Jim Crowley prefers the once-raced WUFUD, who was a real eye-catcher behind subsequent winner Mr Marrakech at Chelmsford in April. Charlie Hills’ colt is a full brother to 7f winner Mootaharer and a half-brother to several other winners including the top-class Muhaarar and Tamaathul. Power of Darkness was third at Newmarket last August but lacks a recent run while Thirsk fourth Culdrose may not be suited by a drop in distance.
