Verdict

FLYING SILKS can take this contest at the expense of Block Party and Marching Time. Jeremy Gask's gelding won a shade cosily at Pontefract last week and while this is a step up in grade, he is entirely worthy of respect on the basis of that line of form. Block Party was a comfortable winner at Windsor. He had taken some time to come to hand so it would be no surprise to see him improving. Marching Time was not disgraced at York though the front sextet were in a heap at the line. Directorship appreciated a drop back to eight furlongs having been campaigned unsuccessfully over further. All About You and Ballyalla are progeny of Mind Games so the step up in trip is a surprise. Albaher has clearly had training issues so the market will give us plenty of idea as to what is expected this afternoon. Flying Silks appears the best option at the likely odds.
