Support Fund gets our support in the finale with the list of dangers headed by Obe Royal and Vanadium. The selection is a filly in good form and there was plenty to like about the way she won last time at Warwick when she beat Orpen Fire. She has a penalty to overcome here but she looks one to stay on the right side of in her present mood. Obe Royal will be suited by the return to this trip and he is in fair form, but he does not have a very good strike-rate and he has yet to win on the turf so those factors do count against him. Vanadium ran well here last time and might have finished closer to the winner had his rider not dropped her hands close to the finishing line. A reproduction of that effort would surely see him competitive, while Jessica Wigmo hails from a shrewd yard and is another to note in the market. However, for the winner we will stick with Support Fund.
