We will short list Peace Lily, La Fanciulla, Saxon Lil and Dark Moon and select La Fanciulla. Saxon Lil holds very good claims based on last season's summer form but recent efforts have lacked the same sparkle. Peace Lily keeps threatening to deliver. Maybe today? Pink Bay seems to have regressed and was beaten in headgear last time. La Fanciulla at least comes here in form and races from the same mark that saw her finish third at Newbury last time. A repeat of the dose should see her go close. Cheekpieces will have to improve Fleur A Lay, but it would be no surprise to see Dark Moon go well at a track his stable traditionally does well at at this time of year. Finally, although she has only won sellers, you couldn't rule out a good run from Wizby. However, our choice is La Fanciulla.
