Verdict

The booking of Serena Brotherton for Lady Willa takes the eye and the filly ran as well as she's ever done when third over seven furlongs at this track last time when shaping as though the step up to a mile would be in her favour. She rates highly as a result although we'd prefer to see some rain as she may not want the ground to ride too fast and, with that in mind, preference is for PEBBLESONTHEBEACH who seems to be fairly versatile with regard to underfoot conditions. He returned to form when finishing strongly at this track over seven furlongs last time and should go close as long as he doesn't give too much ground away at the start. Gross Prophet returned to form with a vengeance at Newbury and escapes a penalty so has to be feared with Calypso Star and Strike Force also coming under consideration.
