Raised just five pounds for a convincing Kempton win, Indian Trail can win again, the biggest danger to him possibly being Excalinor. The David Elsworth-trained colt comes here on a three-timer and could well also appreciate the step up to seven furlongs. There are plenty of others to consider, though. South Atlantic is sure to prove popular after his easy maiden win at Musselburgh. He's a little hard to assess in that he is bred to get a lot further than this seven furlongs, and he did give the impression in Scotland that he wouldn't want to race too often on firmish going. Excalinor is also on a three-timer, and he has given every impression that seven furlongs will suit him too. His stablemate, Crafty Calling, should also improve over this seven-furlong trip. He holds definite chances. Tizzy May has been disappointing so far this season after showing decent juvenile form. The handicapper is just starting to relent with New Wish, an he could be given place chances if running to his best. Greek Revival does not look obviously well handicapped at present. Overall, then, in a good race, Indian Trail gets the nomination.
