Verdict

Caulfields Venture did win in this grade on soft going earlier this year and justified market support at Exeter last month. He should be in the firing-line again here and there should be more to come from Lookslikerainted, who made a winning start over fences at Worcester when Wilton Milan was only third. Saroque won over a shorter trip here in February and Loch Ba is capable at this level but Exeter third Tullamore Dew is firmly in the veteran class nowadays and it's a long time since he got his head in front. Le Reve could go well if fully wound-up but the surface will suit dour stayer WOODFORD COUNTY, who could be the value. His yard is in excellent form and the seven-year-old, whose jumping improved with experience, ground out victories at Uttoxeter and Chepstow last season when the ground was testing.
