Verdict

Shanroe Santos may not get the opportunity to renew hostilities with Uttoxeter conqueror Jennys Surprise as Fergal O’Brien’s mare was engaged yesterday at Wincanton. Theatrical Star is back on the same mark as when a two-length second to Pete The Feat in a valuable veterans’ race here at the start of the year and 3lb better off with the winner. The Taunton third hasn’t won in three years but must have a decent chance of ending that run today. PICKAMIX (NAP) is preferred, however, as he’s much less exposed and still on an upward curve based on last month’s third at Cheltenham. Belmount fell last time but has won four times in this grade so can’t be ignored.
