    Verdict

Another impossible-looking handicap to end proceedings. EMERALD WILDERNESS finally took advantage of a tumbling mark to end his drought in an apprentices' race at Kempton last week. He doesn't get a penalty for that and is still well treated on his old form on turf so is probably the one to beat, though isn't one to take too short a price about. The three-year-olds John Biscuit, Muqtarrib and Eastern Breeze are all worth a second glance, though the latter's easy Windsor win may not amount to much. Rock Anthem has won this for the last two years and is a pound lower than when successful 12 months ago. It looks as though he's been prepared for a hat-trick bid and a market move would be highly significant, though a high draw could be difficult to overcome unless the leaders plot a wide course into the straight. Focail Eile and Daneside looks best of the rest.
