Willie John Daly has gone well here before so has to be respected but has disappointed in his last two starts so preference is for Mount Clerigo, who is unexposed over fences and has ground conditions to suit so gets the vote over the bottom weight Supreme Catch. The last mentioned ran better under today's jockey last time under similar conditions at Huntingdon but this is tougher so he may be best watched. Eric's Charm was pulled up on his return last month and may be better than his showing that day would suggest, while Tana River is capable but has not shown much worthwhile form of late. Latimer's Place looks plenty high enough in the weights at present especially with his yard out of form, while Indalo has given little cause for optimism of late. The vote then goes to Mount Clerigo for who trip and ground look ideal and he appears well enough treated for his debut in this grade over fences.
