      Verdict

The consistent Canadian Danehill, the lightly raced Why Now and top weight Pippa's Dancer all have claims in this competitive sprint handicap but preference is for Peopleton Brook, who is taken to follow up his shock reappearance success. Formerly with David Arbuthnot, the selection made a winning start for new trainer Milton Bradley when defying odds of 50/1 to land a Chepstow handicap in good fashion and, off just a 5lb higher mark, he holds solid claims of winning again. James Given's Folga has shown a consistent level of form in all four starts this term and is entitled to be thereabouts again along with Canadian Danehill, although there is a suspicion that the handicapper now has the measure of the last mentioned. Yorkshire Lad disappointed on a soft surface last time and may do better back on faster ground today, while Why Now is open to plenty of improvement and could be interesting from what appears to be a decent draw. Pippa's Dancer gained a deserved first success at Bath last time and does not have an impossible task under top weight on his debut in a handicap but Milton Bradley has his sprinters in fine fettle at present and Peopleton Brook is taken to give him another winner.
