Verdict

Both Vice Marshal and Musbaq were well beaten on their respective debuts so it could pay to concentrate on the newcomers. The latter’s stablemate Falmouth Light is related to a winner in France and Connect’s brother won over a mile as a two-year-old. Sallab is related to a 5f winner so it’s a bit surprising to see him debut over 7f and a speculative vote goes to GEORGE VILLIERS. John Gosden’s 750,000gns purchase is related to a host of winners, including Grade 1 winners in both the US and Hong Kong, and may well be good enough.
