    Verdict

Experience of the course will give Mokum a slender advantage over improving types Redi and Innocent Rebel, who can provide a good test for the Tony Carroll-trained selection. So too can Agostini, who won over an extended mile on the Flat in Germany and he comes here on the back of a quiet introduction over hurdles last December. Venetia Williams has done well with similar types in the past and he is one to monitor as he gains in experience. Innocent Rebel was moderate on the Flat and, despite making a satisfying start over timber, he already has improvement to find. Redi was capable on the level and has shown good progression since switching to the winter game. He won in good style at Southwell last month and has to be given serious respect today. However, the form of that race took a little bit of a knock on Monday which, in the search for a value bet, hands the baton on to Mokum. As with many French-breds, the son of Octagonal handles a bit of give underfoot and he should not be troubled by today's conditions. The four-year-old also shapes as if a good test ideally suits and he is fancied to be very hard to overhaul when they come up the hill.
