Verdict

A typical Sandown maiden with many top yards represented and we will side with the John Gosden trained Aboriginie, Patkai and Yaddree are also expected to go well. The selection has put in two solid efforts to date in decent enough maidens on the all-weather. If showing the same ability on the turf he will prove hard to beat. Sir Michael Stoute trains the newcomer Patkai, who boasts a superb pedigree being by Indian Ridge out of a Saddler's Wells mare. However he could be better off with a bit of cut in the ground. Yaddree has already shown a liking for fast ground when running well behind Tanweer on his Newmarket debut. He followed that with an excellent effort behind City Of The Kings at Kempton and it is hard to see this one out of the money. The once raced Hawaass is entitled to improve and looks the best of the others, but we return to Aboriginie as the more likely winner.
