    Verdict

Baransky has shown the best form of those to have raced here, but fellow Godolphin runner BAWAAB gets our vote to win on debut, while other newcomers Kinryas and Johnny Castle are both very interesting. Saeed Bin Suroor has a good strike rate of 38 per cent at this track with his juveniles in recent seasons and that particular age group are starting to get into top gear for him this time around. The Street Cry colt has the sort of pedigree that suggests he will go well over this trip and we will side with him. Kinryas is also beautifully bred, and a win would be no huge surprise, though he is likely to do better at three and for tonight a better proposition may be Johnny Castle, whose dam was a dual winner over 6f and 7f at two, and who should also be at home in these conditions. Bawaab is the one for us.
