Verdict

One Life Live It has yet to produce on Turf and looks harshly treated whereas Doctor Bong looks a surefire improver although it was only a modest maiden he landed at Chepstow. Expect more from him here but BIG CHILL, far more experienced, is narrowly preferred. Rock solid on his last three starts, he's gone up 6lb for an excellent effort in a Kempton polytrack handicap won by Doctor Bong's stable companion, Rocket Punch, form that rates well in the context of this contest, and a subsequent second at Windsor to a promising type. Best Endeavour didn't run at all badly in that Rocket Punch race and Chevalier cannot be ruled out off the bottom rung as he's most consistent, although it was only a claimer he landed last time.
