Verdict

This is nearly always an informative contest but it’s a surprise that the Richard Hannon stable doesn’t have a runner having sent out six of the last 10 winners. CHAGATAI showed a very willing attitude and a fine turn of foot to overcome trouble in-running and a more-experienced rival on his debut at Bath and could surprise likely favourite Sound And Silence. The Godolphin colt did win well at Newmarket, however, despite running green. Havana Grey landed the odds at Ayr earlier this month but this is a much stronger contest. Frozen Angel looks a bigger danger after making all at Ascot on his second start and is also preferred to the maiden Haddaf.
