Verdict

Centennial gets the nod in this trial with Feared In Flight and Latin Lad rated as the main dangers. The selection ran well at Saint Cloud in a Group Three towards the end of last season and assuming that he has wintered well, then a big run should be on the cards. John Gosden's colt should be suited by this better ground and with the step up in trip also expected to suit, he may prove hard to beat. Feared In Flight is the highest rated horse in the lineup, and Barry Hills' colt ran a blinder last time out in the Racingpost Trophy behind Ibn Khaldun. Latin Lad ran a good race at Kempton on his reappearance, and with fitness now assured, he should go well. Top Lock could be anything after just one start and one win, whilst Whistledownwind and Whitcombe Minister both need to improve. Similar comments apply to Endless Luck, however like a few of these there is plenty of scope for improvement, especially with the step up in trip, however it is Centennial who gets the nod.
