Verdict

John Gosden trains a host of exciting three-year-olds this season with MONARCHS GLEN (NAP) one of that number. The latter only won a handicap at Kempton last time but showed a tremendous turn of foot in doing so and Frankie could afford to ease him down in the closing stages. He’s preferred to stablemate Cunco, who came up short in pattern company last season and is closely matched with Frankuus on last year’s form. The latter landed a Group 3 at Chantilly in October while Fierce Impact made a winning start at Yarmouth in the same month and Intern has joined Ralph Beckett having won a maiden at Leopardstown for David Wachman. The latter pair are both entered in the Derby.
