A race to view with a great deal of interest as it is sure to produce a number of future winners. As such, Cape Vincent gets a tentative selection. The John Gosden-trained colt holds a number of good entries and cost 90,000 guineas, so clearly has been showing something at home. Iffraaj is by Zafonic and and well related. Jazz Scene's dam is a half-sister to this season's Group 2 Princess Margaret Stakes winner, River Belle. Sir Michael Stoute runs three. Of these, Kieren Fallon rides the stoutly-bred North Light, a full brother to Researched. He has a host of big-race entries, including next year's Vodafone Derby. Best of the other pair could be Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum's well-related Maraahel, although he lacks big-race entries. The third Freemason Lodge runner is Lammtarra's half-brother Menokee. Marcus Tregoning runs two, namely, Munaawesh, a son of Bahri, and the Rahy colt Qaadimm. Ed Dunlop's Post And Rail cost $150,000 and his dam is a winning sister to the top-class Emperor Jones. John Dunlop field Swagger Stick, who was retained for $270,000 and who has shown promise, but needs to step up on his two runs to date. And Richard Hannon runs the 55,000 guineas acquisition, Zuma, a Grand Lodge colt who is a brother to a Japanese winner. It all points to an intriguing affair. Watch the betting with interest, but the three to focus on could well be Cape Vincent, North Light and Maraahel, with Cape Vincent getting our vote.
