Verdict

Possibly the best two-year-old event of the season so far that may fall to Prince Charming, with Moscow Music and Polly Perkins expected to run well. John Gosden's colt improved on his Kempton maiden success to land a listed race at Ascot, beating Cornus and today's rival Alpaga Le Jomage. Further progression is expected and this son of Royal Applause can land the hat-trick. Moscow Music also stepped up on his debut effort to land a class D maiden at Lingfield. It is difficult to assess the value of the form in that four runner event, but he did win with something in hand. Polly Perkins only won a small race at Musselburgh but looked certain to improve for the outing and could go close at a big price. Indiannie Star and Next Time Around could also figure in a a very competitive opener but Prince Charming could have too much class and is taken to land the spoils.
