    Verdict

Sir Michael Stoute won this with Workforce last year and CARLTON HOUSE has a similar profile though, of course, he didn't win the Derby. The Queen's colt made a successful reappearance last season in the Dante before his placed effort at Epsom and though beaten again in the Irish Derby that level of form is far superior to that of tonight's rivals. Colombian has fitness on his side having landed the Group 3 Gordon Richards Stakes over the C&D last month though that was on heavy ground and he has a penalty as a consequence. Hunter's Light disappointed in the Group 3 Huxley Stakes at Chester so the main threat could come from the mare I'm A Dreamer, who very nearly snatched the Grade 1 EP Taylor Stakes at Woodbine in October and made a pleasing reappearance behind Izzi Top at York.
