Verdict

Vuvuzela was third on soft ground over C&D in March but still beaten almost 15 lengths and it will be a surprise if at least one of today's rivals doesn't prove more progressive. Pointless and Pudsey House are certainly open to improvement while the latter's trainer, John Wade, also saddles newcomer Desperanto. Mac Steamy has winning form between the flags but the interesting one could be SUPREME ASSET. From the same family as top-class chaser Albertas Run, Donald McCain's four-year-old is sure to know his job and can make a winning start to his career.
