Verdict

CALLISTO MOON's Bangor victory shouldn't have been totally unexpected as he was fit from the Flat and races off a higher mark over hurdles. A 7lb penalty complicates matters here but Jo Hughes' gelding will take some catching if in the same mood. Chasing newcomer Altan Khan has more scope than most of these but returns from a break, as does C&D winner Fred Bojangals, while Ela Re doesn't appear the force of old. Big Burrows has also become very unreliable and his suspect jumping will be put to the test over a trip that appears well short of his best.
