In depth

Verdict

A wide open affair her with many horses in the field that have plenty of ability but do not like to use it so stakes are best kept to a minimum but the principals look to Hugo De Perro, Atticus Finch and Chancers Dante and the tentative vote goes to Atticus Finch. The gelding from the Maxine Stirk yard was a fair third behind Looking Forward last time when Stone Cold was second but he is better off with that rival here and he is taken to score. Hugo De Perro rates the main danger despite top weight he was a fair fifth behind Calling Brave in a hurdle last time out if he was guaranteed to produce that effort he would be hard to beat but he has refused to race on a few occasions and can not be backed with any confidence. Chancers Dante is also worthy of respect after his latest third behind Brother Joe and Our Armageddon but he is not very big and his big weight may find him out. Of the remainder Vidi Caesar is from a yard in form and is worth noting in the market but the cautious vote goes to Atticus Finch.
