In depth

Verdict

It is hard to oppose La Perrotine, who should easily take care of Farne Isle and Clichy. Howard Johnson's five-year-old has gone from strength to strength, winning three out of her four races this season. The second of those victories was gained at the expense of today's rival Farne Isle, who went down by three and a half lengths. He is much better off at the weights with the selection, but whereas La Perrotine has improved, Farne Isle has been very disappointing and may find it very difficult to reverse the form. Clichy hails from the in form Sue Smith stable and has shown a modicum of ability. She is open to some improvement and may sneak into the places. Primitive Poppy and Nobody's Perfect look best of the remainder, but La Perrotine is the class act here and is taken to oblige.
