An ordinary contest to kick-off the card, with He's Hot Right Now, Trickstep, Arjay and Pure Brief the ones for the short list, and we take He's Hot Right Now to follow up his recent course and distance success. Admittedly, this will be more difficult with 9lb extra to shoulder, but he probably had more in hand than the official winning margin last time, when he idled after being in front for a long way, and with nothing special in opposition he can back up that success. Trickstep won a very weak seller last time and connections probably won't be too chuffed that the handicapper starts him off from a mark of 98, and we expect him to be running for placed money. Pure Brief has had the ability to win from 10lb higher than this in the past, so can't be totally discounted. John Mackie's gelding has shown a bit of a return to form of late and does like it quick underfoot, but still needs to find more to win this, while Arjay should go well, but he needs to drop a couple more pounds before its his turn to break his maiden tag over hurdles. But Richard Guest continues in form and can take this with He's Hot Right Now.
