In depth

Verdict

Donald McCain had four entries in this at the four-day stage and relies on COURT DISMISSED. Successful in a point-to-point and placed twice in bumpers, the five-year-old only weakened approaching the last on his hurdling debut at Bangor and will know more today. He can make the most of the 3lb he receives from the four-year-old Come On Sunshine, though Gary Lavery takes 8lb off the latter. Aristo Du Plessis is gradually getting there but his future lies in handicaps. That could also be the route for Chivers in the spring.
