It may not pay to look beyond LORD GUNNERSLAKE here and he's taken to complete his hat-trick, possibly at the main expense of Harcas and Sharadiyn. The last named has played the bridesmaid on each of his last two starts and the form of his penultimate outing may receive a boost if Barron Watlass produces a big run in the opener but Lord Gunnerslake may confine him to minor honours once again. The Welsh raider reverts to hurdling after two victories over fences and this is his first start over timber since he finished down the field at Leopardstown in 2004. He races from the same mark as when successful at Fontwell and is entitled to go well although he did need plenty of driving last time and Richie Killoran is sure to have to earn his fee. Harcas has only one win to his name but he's realistically handicapped and it would be no surprise to see him in the mix but course and distance winner Pugnacity has something to prove on recent form and preference is for Lord Gunnerslake.
