In depth

Verdict

Bougore can make amends for his recent lapse to account for Spring Breeze, Classic Event and Turnstile. This promises to be an interesting contest, as Spring Breeze is sure to be a popular choice on his return here. He was given a great ride by Graham Lee when scoring over hurdles a fortnight ago, and by all accounts has schooled well over fences. However, anyone that saw Bougore at Market Rasen 16 days ago will have almost certainly put him down in their notebooks. Sue Smith's charge was travelling just as well as the eventual winner Tora Bora when losing all chance with a slip at the final fence. The form looks rock-solid, with Tora Bora going on to score again at Exeter, and Bougore should run a big race. Classic Event is sure to have been well prepared and likes to get his toe in so will appreciate the give underfoot, while Turnstile faced a stiff task behind Turpin Green at Carlisle and can only improve on that initial effort over the bigger obstacles.
