Birdwatch gets the vote in this novices' handicap chase with Nectar De Guye and Jupsala the main dangers. The selection was well beaten last time but he does have some very respectable form over hurdles and although he is taking his time to find his feet over the bigger obstacles he shapes as though he does have a future in this sphere. This step-up in trip should also be in his favour. Nectar De Guye was pulled-up at Hexham last time and he has yet to win a race of any description. However he is a thorough stayer and he will get the trip so with the stable in flying form he is considered. Jupsala showed improved form here last time and we know that he will also see out every yard of this trip so he has to be shortlist material. Whatcanyasay is unproven over this trip so looks worth opposing but for the winner we will return to Birdwatch.
