Verdict

Overbranch will be popular here along with Falcon's Tribute and Blast The Past, and preference is for Falcon's Tribute. Peter Beaumont's amre was not stopping when going clear by eight lengths in winning at Hexham last time for what was a surprise victory. Certain to start at much shorter odds here, the extra half mile may well bring about further improvement, and with the ground conditions similar she is taken to score. Overbranch is another who could improve for a step up in trip and stayed on strongly up the Towcester hill last time to record a head success. However, she has gone up a stone for that success and today's task is therefore plenty tough enough. Blast The Past has previously been tried over c&d and was staying on when unseating, so after a nice pipe opener recently, she is definitely worth another try at the trip and can go very well. Thehonourablelady flopped at Fakenham last week and may again struggle under a penalty, and Apsara may be a better bet, but we are going to side with Falcon's Tribute.
