Verdict

FEROCIOUS FRAN has been extremely disappointing but Kevin Prendergast has put her in here on a lowly claiming mark and this is her chance to get off the mark. She has proved very one-paced in her races to date but her early form when not far behind Purple Glow and Oor Jock, is by far the best on view. Knock Stars has to concede 6lbs but looks a real threat as she ran quite well on her debut behind Sydney Harbour at the Curragh and wasn't far behind Inca Princess at Fairyhouse. She will be suited by give in the ground and looks better than either Thegondolier, who wears blinkers for the first time, or Proper Madam, though the latter has been taking on better company and steps up from the minimum trip for the first time.
