Denis Hogan is in good form and the lightly-raced Duck And Vanish has had a run over hurdles since fifth in a maiden here in June. KANNOOR was purchased out of Roger Varian's yard and made a promising debut for new connections at Leopardstown, his first start for a year. Further progress can see him take this though Swiss Army Officer was always doing just enough to land one of these over a mile at Killarney. James McAuley places his horses well in these claimers and Approach The City ran well behind well-supported stablemate Big Challenge at Ballinrobe last month. Crystal Pool has been in fine form in handicaps and, though having a few pounds to find, Pat Martin's mare looks certain to get into contention while the three-year-old Gamigin has a chance at the weights.
