In depth

Verdict

Many of these arrive in top form including Arthurian Fame, who found 2m4f to his liking at Kilbeggan last month and isn't particularly favoured by the race conditions. Cafe Con Leche completed a double in great style in heavy going in March but was well beaten on the Flat at Galway on Sunday. Scalor and Somptueux both step up in class after maiden victories at Kilbeggan while Jon Ess landed a Gowran maiden on his 14th start over timber though did it very easily. ANNA BUNINA (NAP) won a Cork maiden by 11 lengths from Guinevere, who franked the form by scoring at Galway last week, so John McConnell's filly looks the one to beat.
