Verdict

Phantom Of Plenty has a penalty for a victory on the Flat but has shown enough promise over timber to get involved and Old Castletown did enough on his racecourse debut at Tipperary to be considered. Roman General has only run on soft ground over hurdles and could be suited by these conditions though it's about time COURAGE was winning and he was probably a bit unfortunate at Kilbeggan after a cracking effort behind Faanan Aldaar at Roscommon.
