Verdict

The veteran Bellgrove has scored from much higher marks in the past and may not be finished winning yet. Just A Normal Day is 8lb lower than when last successful over fences and looks a contender though it’s about time OLD TOWN ROAD was winning. Unsuccessful in a dozen starts over hurdles, he looks like being a much better chaser judging by his close second at Killarney and can go one better. Go Battle’s second at Ballinrobe was easily his best run to date so he’s one to note from a basement mark.
