Verdict

IDLEWILD was well supported when stepped up to 1m4f on heavy ground at Galway and only weakened in the closing stages. That was only his sixth race and with the excellent Connor King on board he can gain his first success. Sweet Refusal appeared to be suited by dropping back to a mile at Galway and may just get outstayed here while Las Encinas is still searching for her first victory and was beaten 16l when third at Ayr last time. Stephen Hero's victory at Clonmel in May was gained on fast going and he's been well beaten on softer ground subsequently.
