Verdict

If able to reproduce his best form, Platinum Duke should take plenty of beating in the second division of the claimer. Kevin Ryan's gelding has not been at his best since winning a seller at Southwell in February but has an obvious chance at the weights on official BHB ratings. Dust To Dust, who won here a year ago, returned to winning ways at Wolverhampton last time and should not be discounted, while dual course winner Larky's Lob would probably prefer shorter. Omey Strand looks best of the rest and could go well if fit enough for his reappearance.
