Verdict

This surface brought the best out of FLASH CITY last Saturday when Bryan Smart's charge won a shade cosily over C&D. A 6lb penalty may not be enough to stop him following up with an apprentice taking over the reins. Crimson Cloud won her maiden over the minimum trip at Lingfield last month and went close at Kempton last time. She can figure, along with another recent maiden winner Monsieur Jamie who scored over C&D last month. Silk Bounty is not out of it if handling the surface.
