Verdict

This is not as competitive an event as that contested by LOVEINTHESAND on the last occasion we saw Mark Johnston's colt at Doncaster in September, and he gets the vote to break his maiden, while My Mandy and Ceto can chase him home. The selection almost broke his duck at Hamilton at the first time of asking, and was subsequently tried in better company, being a beaten favourite in a York maiden and then down the field in a conditions event on Town Moor. He clearly has the ability to go well when fresh, and his trainer has been in cracking form during the winter, so provided he handles conditions he is likely to take some beating. My Mandy remains a maiden after 13 attempts and has already proved herself on this circuit. With the exception of a comfortable defeat last time, she has been in good form of late and may show more now returning here. Ceto was not far behind My Mandy when both finished down the field at Lingfield last time and her pedigree suggests that this slower surface will suit. She has had just three runs and looks more likely to find improvement and could give the selection plenty to do. Blades Harmony showed improvement from first run to second and could again get better back here and over this trip, though this could be a bit short for Blues Forever, and we will side with Loveinthesand.
