Verdict

Kitty Brown made little impression on her debut at Kempton and it would be no surprise if one of the newcomers proved too good for her in this. Livia Drusilla was the more expensive purchase of Brian Ellison's two runners but stablemate Claudia Octavia is related to a couple of winners. Split Rock is half-brother to four winners and has to come into the reckoning for his powerful yard but the speculative vote goes to JAGA TIME. Kevin Ryan won this contest last year with a newcomer so will know what's required of his Compton Place colt if he's to make a winning debut.
